Podcast: Trump, The Fed and The AI Arms Race

I was recently interviewed by Tom Bodrovics for the Competent Investor Podcast, where I explain why President Trump believes he MUST take control of the Federal Reserve and US monetary policy in order to achieve his aim of making America great again.
I also discuss the key events that will determine whether he succeeds, including the Supreme Court’s upcoming ruling on whether he can fire Fed Governor Lisa Cook, the end-of-February expiration of all 12 Federal Reserve Bank presidents’ terms, and the selection of a new Fed Chair when Jerome Powell’s term ends in May.
We also weigh the potential benefits and risks of a Trump-led takeover of the Fed, and why America’s ability to win the AI race may ultimately hinge on the President’s willingness to use the Fed’s money-creation power to fund the energy infrastructure and data centers that AI will demand. The stakes could not be higher because losing the AI race to China would represent an existential threat to the United States itself.
